Super Hero Father's Day Gift Idea

Today I want to share with you a fun "Super Hero" Father's Day gift idea.
I don't know about you, but around our house, super heroes are kind of a big deal.  Between my oldest son, and my husband, we have our share of Blu-Ray collections of almost all of the movies ever made.  It's a constant battle between the two of them of which super-powered being is the best and who could defeat the other if they were ever to battle one another.
With that, I got to brainstorming some ideas for a creative and out of the box idea for something to do for a gift from my kiddos for Father's Day.  This is what I came up with.

A Super Hero Themed Gift Basket
Complete with all the super hero Father fixings!

This gift consists of the following:
His favorite drink
Some Super Hero themed snacks
A few of his favorite candy bars
A super Hero Themed puzzle...to do with the kiddos
His favorite Super Hero Blue-Ray (or DVD)
A Super Hero T-Shirt
a Super Hero Themed Trash Can...maybe he can use it at the office?
(You always need a "basket" for a Gift Basket so it's fun to find something that you can use as part of the gift as well.  Find this first when shopping and then add your items into it as you shop so that you can make sure they will all fit.  It's really frustrating to find some great things, and then not have them fit in your basket.)

Now, I'll be honest, this gift seriously only cost me $25.  Not too shabby for a Father's Day gift, if you ask me.  You would really be surprised at what you can find for $5 and under at some of the big-box chain stores.  The shirt, Blu-Ray, and trash can were all under the $5 mark, and as you know candy bars, sports drinks, and sodas can all be found for under $1.  The key to doing gift baskets are to set a budget and stick with it.  Do a little rummaging and I promise you can find what you are looking for.

After you have found some items, go home, pile them back into your "basket" and assemble the gift until it looks like you want it to.  I always start with my large items first, and then add the smaller ones toward the end.  Shirts and more flexible things can also be rolled or wrapped to get them to fit better as well.

After you have your items situated like you want them, wrap it in cellophane, tie it with a cute bow and you are set!

But wait, what is the perfect gift without a perfect card?
I found a great one over at Treat.com, and it just so happened to match perfectly with my gift.

You can personalize the card to your own liking, and they have so many wonderful options to choose from.  Check out their selection for a great Father's Day card that you can use.  Click HERE to be taken to their site and browse their selection.

Now, go on and get brainstorming a great Father's Day gift idea that you can use.  Or, follow along with my Super Hero Theme and make something up for the special Super Hero you'll be celebrating this Father's Day.
