So in my last post, I said I would show you how to make these super cute, and super easy "Junk Bows".
If you are not already making them, I can promise you that you will be after reading this!
They are so simple, but help give your gift that little extra touch to dress it up a bit.
So, for the bows, you will need the following:
a pair of scissors
7-8 pieces of various coordinating ribbons/ric-racs
And that's it!
To assemble your junk bows you just start by using your initial piece of ribbon tied in a simple knot like this-
Next you will need to gather your remaining scraps of ribbons and stack them in a nice pile with the largest one on the bottom, and the smallest on top. The lengths do not need to be precise. The more variety, the better.
Gather your stack together and place in the center of your previously tied ribbon......
Then use your main ribbon to tie a nice tight knot to hold all of the scraps in place.
You can trim your ribbons up if you'd like, but I prefer to have them hanging in various lengths and positions.
And it really is that simple!
I have used this technique many times in gifting - placing it on not only cellophane wrapped gifts like you see here, but gift boxes, tying gift bag handles together or wrapping up a cute blanket or pillow. The possibilities are endless!
