Fall-Themed Pumpkin Carving Party

For my little girls' birthday party this year, we decided to stick with a "seasonal theme".  I thought it would be really fun to do a pumpkin party, but also didn't want it to turn into too much of a Halloween party.  After looking through what I had to use, and getting some ideas off of Pinterest, I came up with a
Fall Themed - Pumpkin Carving Party

Here's a sample of the invitation I sent out.
I LOVE the way it turned out! So fun and like I've said before, your invitation sets the mood and theme for your party.  It gets your guests excited to come so, spend a little time on your invitation!!

We had so much fun!  With everyone's schedules clashing, and the ever so popular "Hunting Season" being right during her birthday, we ended up holding it on a Sunday afternoon with family and a few close friends.
We served a lunch of Chili, Apple Cider, and a Caramel Apple Bar.  The kids and adults all loved it!
(unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, so we held the party in the garage)
Here's a few pics from the party.....

The recipe for the Chili can be found HERE.

The Apple Cider was just a mixture of 1 gallon of apple juice and 4 cinnamon sticks, set on low in the crock pot for about 8 hours.  It was a BIG hit!

The Pumpkin Cake was super easy.  Just 2 bunt cakes placed flat sides together, iced orange with a green iced ice cream cone for the "stem".

The Caramel for the Caramel Apple bar was yummy and soooo easy!  Recipe found HERE.

I made an assortment of various things for the Apple Bar.....sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, nuts, etc...just use your imagination and whatever you have laying around your house!

The printables are some I just designed on my computer.

We just sat around and enjoyed a meal with everyone and then once everyone was full and the kids were on a sugar high from too many caramel apples, we let the dads help the kids carve pumpkins.  A big thanks to my mother-in-law for donating all the pumpkins from her bountiful harvest she received this year!

And it really was just that easy.  I used a lot of things I had laying around for decorating for fall, and tried to keep the food simple and something everyone would like.  It was definitely a low stress party, which made it even more fun for me to enjoy!

It was fun for a birthday party, but would also be something you could do just for any kind of Fall get together or an annual pumpkin carving party.
