I have been meaning to write a post with this recipe for a while now, but each time I make the yummy things I forget to take a picture....
This time however, I finally did so I thought I'd share with you this recipe for our familys' delicious breadsticks. I can't take credit for them though, I got the recipe from my mother-in-law and I'm not sure where she got it from.
They are definately a favorite at our house and I'm always asked to make them by my hubby and at family get-togethers with my side of the family. Try them out and you will be hooked as well. They are really easy and fairly quick to whip up!
Delicious Breadsticks
3
tbsp yeast
2
¼ cup water
3
tbsp sugar
2
tsp salt
4-
5 ½ cups flour
Dissolve
and activate yeast in warm water.
Mix
ingredients together. Let rise until double in bulk; about 15 min.
Roll dough out onto slightly floured surface in an oblong shape ¾
inches thick. Using a pizza cutter, cut dough into strips lengthwise
and then once down the middle width-wise.
Melt
1 cube butter on cookie sheet. Dip a strip of dough and fold in half
while twisting it around your finger, repeating with all dough until
your pan is full.
Sprinkle breadsticks with garlic powder, salt, and
salad supreme. Let rise for 20-30 min.
