EggNog Cookies

During the holidays we go through Egg Nog more than water.  It is terrible how much my kids love the stuff.  Personally, it's not my favorite.  I like the smell and the flavor of it is pretty good, but drinking it....no thank you!  I found this recipe and tried it out and unfortunately have a new favorite holiday treat.
EggNog Cookies
1 1/4 cups white sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup eggnog
1 tsp vanilla
2 egg yolks
1 tsp nutmeg
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Glaze:
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp eggnog

Preheat oven to 300°F. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.  Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy.  Add eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks; beat at medium speed with mixer until smooth.  Add flour mixture and beat until just combined. Do not over mix!
Spoon onto un-greased cookie sheets or parchment paper and make the dough balls rather small, they will spread generously when baking.
Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until the edges barely start to brown. While cookies are in the oven, make the eggnog glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar with 3 tbsp eggnog.
Gaze your cookies warm or cooled and sprinkle with a little cinnamon.

Try them out and let me know what you think!
I was told these may be the cookies we have to make for Santa this year.
