Oatmeal Applesauce Cookies

These Cookies are so good, there is no way you can pass up trying them at least once.
And I'm sure once you do so, you will be making them again and again!
Oatmeal Applesauce Cookies
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp groud allspice
3/4 cup softened butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup applesauce
1 lg egg
1 lg egg white
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant)
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together first 5 ingredients and set aside.  Cream together butter and sugars.  Add applesauce, eggs, and vanilla and mix until batter is smooth.  Slowly incorperate flour mixtured until well blended.  Add oats and mix well.  Last, mix in raisins and nuts.
(I'm allergic to walnuts and we love chocolate chips so I left out the raisins and nuts this time and used chocoalte chips instead and it is still wonderful!!!)
Drop dough onto greased cookie sheet in tablespoon size.  I use my medium sized cookie scoop and it works great for this size of cookie.  Bake for about 15-17 min until cookies are golden around the edge. (15 min was perfect for me!)
Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for about 5 min before moving to a cooling rack to cool completely.
The recipe makes between 3 and 4 dozen cookies depending on the size of scoop you use and how many cookies get eaten before they are all baked!  ;)
