I've mentioned before, I am working on a fun little Block of the Month project that a local quilt shoppe is doing. Well, I finally had some time this last weekend to sit down and sew, and here was the finished product.
Each block brings about various techniques for us to try and I really have enjoyed it. This time there was more applique (which I really don't mind now), some messy ruffles, some hand embroidery and teaching you how to use fusible web.....the right way! hehe
Here are some more close up pics of the "pieces of cake".
These cute pinwheels were made using the fusible web, a bit of thread to tack them together and a button for a little embellishment.
The cake layers are all put on and held together with a blanket stitch for the applique.
Some messy ruffles for a little frosting. :)
