I have been on the search for THE PERFECT banana bread recipe for what seems like eternity! I try one and it either brown too much or is too stiff, or something or other. I have fiddled with multiple recipes and the temperatures on each of them and just have not seemed to be able to get one that I have happy with. Well, I think I now have it. Thanks to my mother-in-law! This is a very yummy one that stays moist for even a few days, the kids love it, and the best part, it's simple.....try it out and let me know what you think!
Banana Bread Recipe
1 cup mashed bananas (about 2 bananas)
1/3 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp milk
2 eggs
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 & 3/4 cup flour
We always, always add chocolate chips but you can leave them out or use nuts if you'd like
Mix it all together and make at 350 dgrees for 45-60 min.
(Keep in mind your varying altitudes can cause the cooking times to vary. I live at about 5300 feet and the 45 min was just about perfect. Higher altitudes may take a bit longer)
Also, I mixed the ingredients in the order they are listed here. I know many people have theories on the order things should be mixed, but like I said, this works for me!
Hope you enjoy it as well!!
