Coral, Navy and Grey Wedding

This past summer I had the opportunity of helping my sister-in-law plan her wedding.  It was a lot of fun "teaming up" with her to get some ideas of what she wanted, but I have to say she was one of the easiest brides to work with as far as the decision making went.  She went with almost any idea I had and was pretty straight forward in telling me if she absolutely didn't like something.

The happy couple was married in the Manti Temple, in Manti UT.  Because the ceremony was held there, we had the reception close to the bride's hometown.
The reception area was The Big Apple in Torrey, UT.  This was actually the first ever wedding reception held there and it could not have been a more perfect location.

*  I made the centerpieces out of mason jars, twine, some bulap and ribbon.  Stuck a little battery operated candle in there and boom!  It looked beautiful at night as well.
*  For reception food, we just had our family help out with making goodies and treats to serve.  Yes, we have a close, tight-knit family.  They were all more than happy to help out!
*  The giant chalkboards were just pieces of plywood.  I went to the local hardware store and asked them to cut them into various sizes.  Then I just took them home and painted them with chalkboard paint.  (Make sure you write on the smooth side of the plywood though if you do this project yourself!)
*  The cake turned out to be so gorgeous and was made by the very talented Megan Heaps from Meg's Cake Crumbs.  You can find more of her work HERE.

All in all I think it turned out to be a beautiful day and she was by far one of the most beautiful brides I have seen!
Here are a few photos from their big day.
